Water thoroughly immediately after planting, and carefully monitor soil moisture levels until the plants are well established. Be certain to water deeply and do not be afraid to check the soil to see to what depth the water has penetrated. Avoid wetting the leaf surface or water early in the day to allow foliage time to dry before dark. This will reduce disease incidence.
